What is your name and where are you from?
My name is Sofia NG, I am Indonesian. I was born in a city called Pontianak Kalimantan Barat.
Please describe your background
After graduating from University, I moved out of Indonesia and worked in Singapore for 16 years before living in the USA. Most of my family lives in Singapore and Indonesia. I am married to a wonderful man; Shaun Ng. Both of us are actively serving in the church. I serve as the song leader on the worship team and my husband plays the keys.
List one experience you’ve shared in WOW31 that started it all for you, or resonates with you the most
One experience that resonates with me is when Pastor Susan shared from the story of Deborah. That Deborah arose for the time she had been called. She arose to be a voice to her Oikos and community. Deborah’s story is a story of courage and boldness to stand up and not be afraid to be different.
If you had the entire world’s attention, and Knew that every living person on Earth would hear you, what would you say?
People need the Lord. The Lord is the answer and solution for your life. He is alive, He is always persistent, and He hears you. Nothing is impossible with Him.
If you were brand new to WOW31 what is one thing you would tell yourself?
Enjoy the fellowship, be open, and be present.
What led you to get involved in WOW31 and what made you stay?
Because of my love for God and for His people. I hate to see people live under the lies of the devil. God is love and His intention for us is to enjoy life to the fullest. Many people are still struggling, failing, and living a life of despair. I believe I can be the voice for God. I can help one person at a time to see the all that God has for them.
How has your life been impacted through WOW31?
WOW31 has helped me to see myself as a child of God. It has helped me to live out of the original intention of God. The veil has been lifted and I am able to see myself as a daughter of the most high God.
Discuss how you have grown as a person because of WOW31?
When I know my identity in Christ, it helped me be confident. I have a prosperous soul and I can be a friend to others.
How do you see yourself helping others through WOW31 in the near future?
Being available, present, encouraging, and being my sisters keeper. I see myself being real, and being a friend.
In your own words describe the heart behind the ministry.
WOW31 is established as a community for every Christian woman to live out a Proverbs 31 lifestyle. Anchoring her security in God, being a blessing in her family, and sphere of influence. As her life is transformed by God she is able to help other women.
